How the installation works
After a free survey, usually a few photos and a short video call, we confirm cable route, charger position and required tariffs. On the day we run a dedicated cable from your consumer unit to the charger, fit the unit, commission it on the app, and test the whole circuit before signing off.
Typical timescales
Most standard installs are completed in 3 to 5 hours. If we need to upgrade your consumer unit or install an earth rod, allow a full day. You can usually be charging your car within an hour of completion.
Choosing the right charger
We're brand-agnostic and fit Ohme, Hypervolt, Easee, Wallbox and others. Choice depends on your car, whether you want tariff-aware smart charging, solar diversion, or simple plug-and-play. We'll explain trade-offs in plain English.
What affects the cost
Cable run length, parking position relative to your consumer unit, single or three-phase supply, charger model, and whether earthing protection like a Matt:e device is required all influence the final figure. We always quote fixed price.
Grants and tariffs
If you qualify for the EV chargepoint grant (currently flat owners, renters and certain landlords) we handle the paperwork. We'll also recommend off-peak EV tariffs that can cut your charging cost by up to 80%.
