How an emergency call-out works
Call the emergency line and we'll triage over the phone, sometimes the fix is a reset you can do safely yourself. If we need to attend we aim to be on site within 2 hours across our core area, with a clear arrival window.
What we'll do on arrival
First priority is making the installation safe, isolating any damaged circuit and securing the property. We then diagnose the root cause, agree the repair with you, and either fix on the spot or temporarily make safe pending parts.
Typical faults we handle
Tripping RCDs, dead sockets, partial power loss after a storm, burning smells from accessories, water ingress on outdoor circuits, and consumer unit faults. Most are diagnosed and repaired in a single visit.
What affects the cost
Call-out time-of-day, diagnostic complexity, and any parts required. We charge a clear first-hour fee plus parts, and quote any larger remedial work separately before starting it. No surprise bills.
When to call us versus your DNO
If your whole street has lost power, or you can see damage to the supply cable / fuse on the wall before your meter, call your DNO (the network operator), that side of the meter is their responsibility. Anything from the consumer unit onwards is us.
